Thomson Reuters has published the third edition of its Future of Professionals Report<\/em>, drawing on insights from a global online survey of 2,275 professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 edition explores key themes such as the uneven pace of AI adoption and the challenge of bridging the gap between technology and business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s report highlights a new divide among organisations: those that adopt an AI strategy and those that do not,\u201d said Steve Hasker, President and Chief Executive Officer for Thomson Reuters.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Visible AI strategies more likely to drive success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the report notes, organisations with a visible AI strategy are more likely to report growth, either directly or indirectly, compared to those taking an informal approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are also 3.5 times more likely to realise critical benefits from AI than those with no significant plans in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet despite these advantages, only 22% say their organisation has a visible, defined AI strategy. Without a clear plan that aligns AI with business priorities, these organisations risk falling behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How is AI shaping the future of work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Future of Professionals Report 2025<\/em> takes a closer look at how AI is transforming today\u2019s workplace. As more companies adopt emerging technologies, employees are beginning to see the impact firsthand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, over half of respondents (53%) say their organisations are already experiencing at least one benefit from adopting AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survey respondents also expect professionals using AI to save five hours per week within the next year – an increase from last year\u2019s prediction of four hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, these time savings could unlock thousands of dollars in annual value per professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital transformation is also on the agenda for roughly half of professionals\u2019 organisations in the year ahead. The split highlights a growing divide between companies embracing a digital-first approach and those falling behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
